Hi. I'm trying update my TT One v8.
NC - 8.014
Boot - 5.5019
Map - 725.1905 United_States

I tried 990.8367 but it was too large by 11Meg so I started comparing maps listed in meta.txt to the compatibility charts to find an older smaller map with the following results:

990.8367 - too big
985 - no compatible map
980 - no compatible map
975 - no compatible map
970-7491 - Link for Part 2 file doesn't match Part 1
965-7280 - Link goes to File not found
960-7075 - link goes to smoozed registration page
955-6801 - link goes to smoozed registration page
950-6544 - link goes to smoozed registration page
945-6243 - link goes to smoozed registration page
925.5439 - link goes to "the requested topic does not exist"
900-920 maps don't have compatibility charts

What am I doing wrong?

What do you call a compatible map? I don,t think that you drive in the whole USA.
So wich county,s do you really need.

Not compatible - I meant that there wasn't a map for NC 8.014 that also had a meta in the meta.txt file.

I'll look at what regional maps are available for the US.....

I'm still doing something wrong... No Maps Found
I downloaded US_East_South_Central_985_8156 and unpacked it into a dir called US_East_South_Central, then copied the US_East_South_Central directory and it's contents to the root of the TT. Then copied fastactivate and meta.txt into TT root and ran. Patched map (.dct OK) and navcore. Reboot TT and no map found error. suggestions ?

You can,t use
US_East_South_Central_985_8156
with navcore 8.014
You need navcore 9510

You can also use a 990 map

1) Make a backup of your Device and delete the content.

2) Unpack the* navcore (winrar ) and place folders and files on your Device.

3) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"

4) Copie the chosen map to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map. You can delete the cspeech file in the map

5) Dowload FastAktivate
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Unpack and copy FastAktivate.exe
and Integrated_meta.txt
to the root of your Device

Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2
Done

install of US_East_South_Central_990_8305 - complete

But, several states that I travel in regularly aren't included in that map. Will the United_States_990.8365 map fit within the 1G TT One v8 ??

There is no meta code for United_States_990.8365 so you can,t use it

ooops, I meant United_States_990.8362 but I see it's larger than 1G.

Two questions then...
1) If I load two maps, can the TT calculate a route that starts in map1 and ends in map2 ?

2) Approximately what series United_States map would I have to go back to in order to fit within 1G ?
I don't care about having the absolute most current map possible, just newer than the 725.xxxx that I had
