Ok assuming your unit has 32 mb ram use this tutorial that i got written up just change the map to your required map, to update and then see where you stand,

• Do a Backup before attempting any upgrade using windows explorer
Connect the device to your pc and format it, as you have start up problems
• Download [Please Register or Login to download file] and copy the complete contents to your device, Overwiting when/If prompted
• Download SE_ttsystem.9.026.483454 and copy the contents to your Device overwriting when/If prompted
• Download your required map I will use the next map as an example you change it to whatever map you require [Please Register or Login to download file]
• When downloaded extract the files to a folder in the root of your device named [Please Register or Login to download file] .
• Download and extract Keygen 4.1D to a folder on your PC
• Download THISmeta.txt and copy it to your keygen folder overwrighting when prompted
• In the keygen folder run this file “Tomtom4.exe” (If you use vista or Win7, Right click and run as admin), In the keygen press button “Make map keys” > “Create DCT’s” This will write a .dct for all maps/voices/cams ect on your device.
• Shut down the keygen, Disconnect device, Reeboot device and you will have a working unit ;)

That is totally up to you it doesnt matter either way but some people like to update the sd card and leave the internal intact

I have been at this for a week now tried original navacore form tomtom home and many navcore`s mostly 8 vers I get the same result.
Funny thing is after the navcore install I get no ttgo.bif file.
I am able to use my tomtom thru the home program "operate my Tomtom" but the piece of Sxxt WON`T start.

Was this happening without your input? I mean before you tried to put a different Navcore on it or after that?
If the problem started after a new Navcore than you most likely installed it wrong.
The files for a Navcore always go in the root of the device/sd card - not into a folder.
Some archives contain a folder with the Navcore version number and in there all the files and folders for the Navcore. So better double check.

Yes the issue started before I installed a new navcore.
I have installed many navcores before with no problems.
I think i am looking at a hardware issue.

Format the device (Backup first) install a new navcore and run the tomtom clear flash tool, if still no luck then i am sorry to tell you that it is an hardware issue.

I agree ,might be a problem with the memory or the controller, either way not worth fixing it.:(
