TT One XL -will this work

Postby naviboy » Thu Jun 13, 2019 10:55 pm

This is a duplicate of my post in "Navcores" as not sure of which is the correct posting location.

Shortly will be setting a TT One XL with latest maps etc.

I'm currently running my TT One V3 with a 9.510 Navcore, a 5.5277 Boot Loader and 1030 UK_ROI map, all on a 4GB SD card.

Can I use the same SD card copy in the One XL when I get it, to set it up for a friend of mine using the same SD card.

Or which ones should I use.

Yes, you can copy the cards contents to another card for your friends device however remove the ttgo.bif file from the copy because there have been reports that you can brick it otherwise.

The XL will create it's own ttgo.bif anyway, so it's not worth the risk

OK.

Thanks for that.
Found that the internal memory has 1 GB.
So installed the 1030 map and 9.510 NC with the 5.5128 BL. Ran FastActivate updating everything etc.

The TT One XL - boots through to the 'Legal Notice & Drive Safely' and then shows the 2 maps (UK & ROI) waiting for a selection, if either is selected It hangs/freezes and reboots back to the 'Legal Notice'.

Where as my One boots to the 'Legal Notice' then through to my location on the map. The choice of maps is only shown when selecting an address or post code.

Is the NC 9.510 you're using the official one or is it an SE (modified)?

In other words, is there a file in the root called 'swap'...reason being, both of those devices are 32MB RAM models so they can quickly run out of RAM causing reboots

Here is a link to the newest NC 9.541 which has been modified for TT One's to include the swap file and the WNRO time fix as well. Always make a full backup before upgrading:

Will 32mb devices with a GL1 chipset still experience the WNRO issues (e.g. time) with the modified 9.541 Navcore? I solved my re-boot problem by switching to a standard voice.

No, not if you use the modified navcore I posted above...or you can use the separate fix on the following page if you don't fancy reinstalling the navcore:
