out of date go700

Postby v3radar » Wed Apr 06, 2011 9:59 pm

I have an out of date GO700 that I would like to bring upto date but I am unsure as to how much I can, as the bootloader is 3.30 or does that get changed along with the updated navcore.
The present setup is

App 5.410 OS:1006
61 mb RAM free 9.7mb
Gps v1.21 Boot 3.30
MAP western_europe v606
Language English

I would appreciate an indication as to what is the latest maps etc, I can install.

This is the first time I have updated a sat nav without a SD card.

OK, your devices is totally outdated and you need an update.
I suggest to try the 9.004 Navcore first as I have good experience with it on many devices.
If no good try the 9.205 and as a last resort the 8.412
With a new Navcore you can use the full featured maps and I suggst to use a 865.3245 map covering the area you need.

Please make a full backup using the Windows Explorer before you start modifying anything on your device.
You can use the maps and Navcores with automatic installation if you are a bit unsure about the procedures.

Thanx for the post, but I don't see the connection with post 1, other than you successfully updated your 700.

Downunder
Iam trying to follow your instructions but I cannot find the " 9.004 navcore with automatic install", I have found one with SE is that the same.
One other thing can I just add and delete to the 700 hard drive like you can with a SD card.

There is not a 9.004 autoinstall version.
Yes, you can add and delete to the 700 hard drive like you can with a SD card.

Driver?
TT does not use drivers for their devices as they are handled as removable drives, only NC10-12 based devices need drivers.
