If you had them working why not simply use the voices folder from a working backup of yours?
Otherwise you might have to do some manual editing of the files.
Some releases have the same numbers as others or the uploader used different numbers to match a collection - usually the meta codes for those voices are posted together with download, requiring the use of a custom meta.txt.
If you don't have a matching name and number for a voice inside the meta.txt than a voice can't be activated.

Hi Downunder,

Unfortunately the only backup I had from my old Navcore was created with TomTom home. I had another backup by TomTom home later on which I assume would have overwritten the first backup. The Lumley voice is normally No 75 but in the downloads I've looked at there wasn't any meta files, which made me think that perhaps the voices were not premium voices. I'll keep digging around. I tried using FA which did produce dct files for the voices but made no difference. Seems strange that some of the voices work and others don't.

Dave

In some meta txt's you no only get the voice numbers bu also the voice name.
Check some meta.txt files for your voices - pay attention to the numbers and if necessary adjust the numbers inside the meta.txt to match yours.
If a voice needs activation it won't work without.

I've eventually found my English Voices folders that I used 5 years ago. There are 80 sub folders in 1 of the voices folder, each folder is the in the name of the voice it contains but there are no meta files anywhere in the voices folder or sub folders, so I assume that the voice files don't require activation. Each voice folder contains only the bmp, .chk & .vif files.
The other voices folder contains just all of the bmp,.chk.vif files and each file is named dataxx. Also in the folder was a readme:_ "Copy the voices folder to your device. Run Easytools RunMeforAllAutomatic to activate
the premium voices". I can't understand why some of the voice files didn't work even after running FA. Anyway I copied the ttgo and RunMeforAllAutomatic and tried but the program returned "Can't find Meta file"

Dave

You will be unable to activate premium voices if the number of the file does not match with what is inside the meta.txt.
Same if there is nosuitable code at all inside it.

Will just have to keep my eyes peeled for the file on the site.

Many Thanks
