Please Help.

After almost a week struggling to install a new map, I stuck.
I have read instructions and tutorials( again, coz I had the same problem last year....), and I think I screw up completely because I have now ONLY TT logo after powering the unit( even after pressing the RESET).
I have TTone 3rd Edition( 1G ) (4N01.002).
What I'v done:
1. Deleted All files exept ttgo.bif, and ttsystem.
2. Downloaded United_States_900_4608 map on HD.
3. Using Winrar executed United_States_900.4608_Installer.part1.exe
4. Provide Password for installation and waited untill it finishes install.
5. Reboot TT.
And now I have ONLY TT logo.
I'm sure I did somethign wrong, but WHAT??????
I had the same issue a year ago, but I don't remember what I did.

1. There was no need to delete ALL files. For a map only update, you just replace the old map folder with the new map folder & run the patcher of your choice to patch the new map & navcore, if it was not already patched.
FYI, there is no need to keep the ttgo.bif file. The unit creates a new one everytime it is booted. There is no need to keep the ttsystem file, unless you are going to continue using your current navcore & it is already patched.

5. At what point did you reinstall your navcore??

He deleted the Navcore and only added a map - can't work.
Considering we have detailed tutorials and instructions for all procedures it makes you wonder how to miss that twice ;)

Download my 9.485 or 9.500 from the Navcore section.
Install the version with Memory Boost.
Navcore is already patched you only need to use FastActivate for the map(s), speedcams and premium voices.

I was unable to DL FastActivate from that german website( dunno why...)
What I did:
1. Deleted Everything.
2. DL 85mb.rar and unrar it in TT
3. Ran United States 900.4608_Installer.part1( it is with TAASE, which ran automaticaly).
4. Sinse I dont have FastActivate, I did DL and ran EasyActivator6.14. It could not patch a map
I have no voices active and no map active now.
Now, I dont know what to do.....

Were you trying to download FastActivate from FastActivate 09.03.2013 ?? I just downloaded it with no problem!!

3. OK. After the installation was completed, did you confirm that the map was patched?
4. Did you update EA 6.14 before you ran it?
5. Update what ever patcher you use & try patching again.

I was able to patch the map ( I forgor to add meta in meta txt.)
Looks like it is running< but no voices( I dont need them . but...... would be nice to have)

If you installed the map after deleting everything on the tomtom, it's no surprise that voices are missing because, supposedly, you deleted the folder Voices.
I am surprised that you're able to start the device with a almost empty root directory.

So I think you are not giving us the full story.

Did you make a backup in advance ?

This version of Navcore 9.485 does not contain any voices. Unless you added voices, Razorblatter is correct, there are no voices on your device to run.

Doing a clean install with the 9.485 navcore, that jocker92 installed, does not leave the device with an almost empty root directory.

Well. Looks like it is running now. I Dl voices tru TT Home.
Now the question is about Status Bar Preferences. It shows that I can only select Remaining, Current and Arrival time( only 2 of them). And if I deselect a Current time it shows in the Status Bar( kinda back)

And the other thing... Can I do updates tru TT Home or not?

1. The number of Status Bar Preference options depends on the emu setting. With the emu set for a 3 panel device, the user can select 5 of 6 options.

2. If you are referring to map share, QuickGPSfix, etc, the answer is YES.
