I did something stupid, like updated TT (TT one 3rd edition) to the new version( it came when I connected today to PC). now I cannot see any maps( basically red X) after turning on. Reset on the bottom did not help.... Any ideas how to bring it back to life????

If you had a patched navcore & map before the navcore update, then you just need to patch the new navcore.

There is no file encryption used on TT devices.
Hold reset for 30+sec or if the device has no reset button the same with the power button.

Thanks, I know that. Files become encrypted after my company enforced CREDANT ( file encryption on the USB connected units). There is NO WAY to decrypt it, so I'm looking how to reset unit to Factory default, or if i can delete all files on TT and copy /paste a new ones....

Can you use credant to decrypt them on to the pc, and then zip them up and email them to another pc?

Was it working before you updated via TT Home?

And was it a patched navcore and map?

It was working before it was corrupted by Credant. Map was patched( I belive 3 years ago), don't know about navcore. I know I was not able to operate map tru TT Home( on PC). Now I deleted all files from TT, and did reinstall soft tru TT Home. Also copied USA map from PC to TT.And now I'm stuck.... Don't know what to do.....

If you are using a patched map, then you must use a patched navcore, Updating through Tomtom home will install a non patched navcore.

So download the latest Fastactivate, Carefully read the instructions, and then patch the navcore, This is what tendriver suggested to do in post two.
