You are welcome.

Enjoy your device :)

P.S.

With a small edit you can have mapshare updates as well...

[Please Register or Login to download file]

1. Make a copy of TTNAVIGATOR.BIF and rename to TTGO.ORI

2. Copy all the files in the archive to the root of your device. Do not put them inside a folder.

3. Rename your map folder to "UK & ROI" without the quotes, there is a empty folder in the archive as an example, Tomtom Navigator doesn't care what the map folder is called in relation to what map is actually in it.

4. [Please Register or Login to download file] /Install Tomtom Home from the official Tomtom site.

5. When all is done you can run Tomtom Home/Update my device and mapshare works now....

Notes: Tomtom Home will ask you to login/create an account, You don't need to, just click Don't login now

In Tomtom Home your device shows up as an actual Tomtom device and will offer updates for it, Unselect everything except mapshare updates.

You can change the mapshare settings in the Tools menu, These are saved to the device.

Tomtom will crash once because the map folder has changed.

To upgrade to newer maps, i delete all the files in the UK & ROI folder except custom POI's, speedcams etc, copy in the new map files, (do not overwrite) and activate in the usual way.

Somehow I am running in an infinite loop while trying to download [Please Register or Login to download file] as specified in post #24. I enter the password, got to the page, click on the download link, then get back to the page asking for the password...frustrating!

Anyone has any ideas?

It appears that you are using a proxy to access Navitotal, That may (I never tried myself) be the reason you can't download from 2Shared.

Ah the alternative link for tomnav on megaupload works.. Thanks much!

Apparently, AutoActivate is a dead link? Any alternatives for that?

And the maps stored on LinkSave.in doesn't seem to be accessible to me. All the links there lead to ads. Any ideas?

[Edit 1] ok got the LinkSave to work after trying repeatedly. Just missing the AutoActivate now to finish the set.

[Edit 2] I noticed an AutoActivate in the "All New Maps 870.XXXX" I can't believe I am so blind.. Is that the AutoActivate that I need? Hmm..Is the FastActivate the same, or shld I stick to AutoActivate?

AutoActivate/FastActivate do the same job but FastActivate can also patch Tomtom navcores which is not needed with Tomtom Navigator (WinCE)

AutoActivate

And So I got TomTom Navigator in my device under a folder I created and named My Flash Disk. I installed the maps into another folder titled Maps in the Tomtom navigator folder. Then I tried running auto activate from My Flash Disk, from TomTom Navigator folder from the computer. But whenever I tried starting up the TomTom on the device alone, the first screen that comes up says 'No maps found!' And the it goes on to say I can download some free map thru GPRS or Active sync but iexplore.exe is not found. Any ideas?

Yes, Place AutoActivate.exe, The Navigator and Map folders into the root of the device, Do not place them inside another folder.

My Flash Disk is what your device calls the internal drive, Your PC just assigns a drive letter.
