Poor speaker quality on Go730

Hmm, small problem - copied across navcore 9.051 files onto root device, and ttsysyem file. Copied UK 850.2781 map and tried to use Easy activator 5. It told me I had an invalid ttgo.bif file, and asked me for the correct location or a ttnavigotor file. I copied over the ttgo.bif file from the original backup of my unit (glad I did that), and even though Easy activator finished ok and generated a dct file in the map folder, when I turn on the unit, I get the dreaded 'Problem with map - You cannot use this map on this device: UK etc-161.

Any thoughts guys? so near and yet so far lol

Hotpants

ps this is running everything from the unit - I have removed the SD card and loaded the UK map onto the 730.

Yes, perfectly. I put the SD card back in and it works fine. I did put the UK map onto the unit from a download version. I tried copying over the UK map from the SD with no joy, so I am about to try the Easy activator again....

Cheers

None - no joy. Instead of looking for a bif file, I put my deviceID into the Easy activator. Generated a dct again, but still same error warning.

Any thoughts guys??

Is there any reason why you dont use Keygen 4.1D to patch the map it is a much better keygen ;) more user friendly

Also sounds like you are using a non patchd ttsystem file ? what ttsystem are you using ?

Good call. I ran Keygen 4.1D, and lo and behold, 9.051 boots up fine :). One query however, and sorry to be a pest guys - half of the icons are blank, i.e. 'help me' and all its submenus are blank. Also, in the status bar preferences, horizontal or vertical has no 'dot' next to them to enable me to choose, and the same on lots of other menu choices. Voices work fine.

Cheers

Hi tendriver,I ran it on djc151084's recommendation as per previous posts. I downloaded the SE 9.051 system that you kindly linked to, and then after extracting, copied the ttystem file over onto the unit. Size is 4.04MB.

My mistake - I used the Easyuse frontend tool that I had used previously, but I patched the pnd navigator file with it  I've just replaced the ttsystem file again from the rar file, and rebooted. Everything seems to be working fine - Navcore ok, icons ok and map working :).

many thanks for your patience - i love you guys!

Cheers
