Problem after updating navcore to 9.510

Postby fk2 » Sat May 04, 2013 10:43 pm

Hello
I had a Western and Central Europe 890.4222 on an SD for my TomTom Go Live
When I connect the TomTom to my computer today, it has automatically installed the new 9.510 navcore
And now my TomTom does'nt work : it says "you can't use this map on this GPS..."
I tried many things like patching again the card on the SD, but it doesn't work at all
Can someone help me ?
Thanks

You have the right idea, but you went in the wrong direction. Before the update you had a patched navcore & a patched map. After the update you have a NEW navcore & the same patched map. Now do you see what the problem is??

Hello
Thanks very much for your answer
Of course, I understood this : new navcore and ancient map
But I can't access to the GPS anymore via USB, as it is blocked by this problem
Do you have an idea on how to process to recover everything ? How to patch the navcore on the GPS as I can't access to it ?
Or will the installation of a new 905 card make it work ?
Cheers

Have you tried a "hard reset"? Do you have a card reader? If so, load a navcore, a map & a copy of your unit's ttgo.bif file on it. Patch both navcore & map.

You are Welcome.
You can't modify/edit the ttgo.bif file, because a new one is created each & every time the device is booted!!
