Problem with map

Postby NDT » Sat Jun 23, 2018 4:26 am

Hi,everyone
I am updating map in my TOMTOM XL IQ Routes, had downloaded Canada-Alaska 1010.8889 map with automatic installer and patcher on laptop, connected to GPS, deleted old map folder in GPS, ran the .exe file. After it was done, turn on GPS, it said You cannot use this map on this device: Canada-alaska-101525.
I don't have experience about this, what i should do next.

Thanks for your help.

You've to wait till there is a valid meta code available, that's your problem
Check allways if there is a meta code for any map you want
Option #1 within Fastactivate will give you the right answer

I went to Meta codes 1010, found meta for Canda_Alaska 1010_8949
Downlaoded the map and installed , ran fastactive option 1,2,3 , it is working

BTW, should i run the fastActive for the maps with automatic installer and patcher?

You're right the meta code was already some time in the list, you may say a big mistake because I'm adding now these codes
to the updated_meta.txt file for the time beeing.

It's useless to use both if the automatic installer finished with a working map

After using the automatic installer and patcher the maps still need activating with FastActivate.

(Not a 100% true as the automatic installer has a long forgotten out of date activator built in which can be resurrected by pasting the meta code into a file called mymeta.txt)
