Problem with One XL

Postby rrdesign » Wed Nov 02, 2011 12:19 am

I have a TomTom One XL that I have upgraded to the latest Australia map 875.3671 and the SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices navcore, and activated with FastActivate_28[1].08.2011_Premium_edition_v1.8.7.2.

It will navigate to any of my favourites, but crashes when I enter a new Navigate To address. Could you please tell me how I can sort this out. I am happy to use any older navcore if that will be more stable - I just want it to work and have the latest maps and speed cameras.

The config is:

TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL
BootLoaderVersion=53026
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
CurrentMap=Australia_875_3671
CurrentMapVersion=
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I did because I have a lot of favourites.

I deleted the mapsettings.cfg file off the TomTom and and then imported them as POI's using [Please Register or Login to download file]

Problem solved, thanks!

Deleting the mapsetting.cfg is not the preferred method, because this file is created by your device.

FFR, This is the preferred way.

If I try operating the device using Home, I get a message "Problem with map - cannot use this map on this device: Australia-421"

I reinstalled my old map Australia v705.1485 and updated the Favourites in Home as suggested and when I switch back to the Australia v875.3671 map it still crashes if I enter a Navigate To address.

1. To use "Operate my device" with a patched navcore & map, TT Home must also be patched.

2. You can't correct the problem this way. You must be using the new setup to do so.
