Im solving problem with voices after update.
Maps are working (Central Europe 900.4602),
Device: TomTom Start2
core 9.465.1074274.1

I used used:
9.465 SE ttsystem.rar
9.465.2-2025.CAB-navcore-LE.cab


then used EasyActivator6.14 (it get mi an error) so i used FastActivate 17.2.2013 and run patching

But voices are still not working (test is not working) but integrated speaker works becouse of starting sound.

where can I did mistake?

Did you do a clean navcore installation or an overwrite installation?
What voice are you trying to use?
Did the voice work prior to the update?

the same for me, cant play music also.

1. Because Im 'dummie' in problematic of tom-toms, I just overvrite data with files containing in archives that i mention in topic. If is there on forum any description which falders are necesary to keep on device, I will glad to read it. I found only basic description of files. I read somewhere that is possible to keep only ttsystem file on flash, but there are to many folders that are not in archive files so I was little bit afride to delete all. maybe question is what is the minimum working configuration on card (including POIs voices speach etc.)
2. Voices that were on card (I did once a time two years ago map update and i wasn't sure if the voices was someow modified), So i tryied to revrite with backup original voices. I don't have special need to special voices so now there is probably the native that was on card - Central european voices (including mi native Czech) - and on this I run patching tool again but, with no success.

Have you tried to use X40light as the emulation?
Check the "switchfiles for dummies" in the tutorial section.

Suggestion: remove everything except your current map. Copy your backup back into your device. Confirm that everything, including voices , is working properly. If so, let TT Home update your unit to the current official navcore 9.465. Now copy the SE 9.465 ttsystem file into your unit & reboot.

I tried to use emulation (create folder config and inside setconfig.txt with option you wrote).. but sounds not worked.
I did again the navcore patch .. delete files contained in three archives. First copied cab archive, then ttsystem and then the last navcore.
Ran again the activator, but voice still not working.

Any other sugestions?

tendriver: I did as you wrote but it not helped.
just for recapitulation:
backup metadata and 900_4602 maps.
deleted all from card,
stored original backup of device.
do all actualization.
test device, old maps and native voices was working..

deleted old maps, stored 'new' 900_4602, with metadata
overwrite ttsystem from archive 9.465 SE ttsystem.rar
run app..

Maps working voices still not.
Intreresting is that there is now no sound, ... do you thing that is good idea to try EasyActivator again on voices?

Little bit progress..
I rune FastActivator .. all options..
nothing happend..
..
then I thought about to try use ttsystem from 9.465.2-2025.CAB-navcore-LE.cab ... AND..
tadaaaa .. it seems to be working

Menu is diferent - old like - with bottom line navigation, but, .. working, so .. I will let it be .. till next map upgrade

You did just about everything wrong, but it would take a full page to explain what & why.

1. Pre-patched ttsystem file set to emulated a GO X40 device. It has the new menu.
2. 9.465 files direct from TomTom.
3. Pre-patched folder needed to use the TT Home "Operate my device" feature.

I know that my last attempt is only the 'random success' but when I overwrite only the ttsysem it was not working. If you want/have time to explain the next step what to do to have GOx40 emulation, with working voice I will 'listen' and improve my knowledge..

This is what I did (I am working with a Tomtom Start 1EX00, without SD card):

The equipment has 32MB.
Navcore 9.057.562242.2, OS 541764 (1028, 11-8-2010), Boot: 5.5274, Map: 'Iberia' v840.2562

1) I copied everything from the internal memory of the GPS to my PC and then deleted everything.
2) Copied the content of 9.465.2-2025.CAB-navcore-LE.cab to device
3) Disconnected the GPS from the PC and started the GPS to create the needed files
4) Reconnected it to the PC and ran Fast Activate 31-08-2013
5) Disconnected the GPS from the PC and started the GPS. Everything was working OK (voices, maps and all the rest is working).
6) However I don't want to use the "Easy" menus and wanted to use the menus from ONE or other device (in this case you patched the ttsystem for the x40 emulation). So I copied the file from 9.465 SE ttsystem.rar and replaced the existing ttsystem file in the GPS.
7) Disconnected the GPS from the PC and restarted. Voices are mute. No sound. Menus and all the rest work fine.

Any ideas of I did wrong?
