problem with western europe 1GB 855.2931

Sun Oct 03, 2010 1:26 pm

My One XL, 1Mb mem, no sd card etc., tells me I can't run this map on the device.

ttgo.bif says:
BootLoaderVersion=55016
LinuxVersion=194291
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8012
ApplicationVersion=9370

CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

I've run autoactivation and fastactive and both end up with the same result.

Bootstrap on these is hold the power buttong for 15 secs until the sys info screen comes up? - did that, same result, PROBLEM, Can't run this map on this device.

The map section for 855 says I can. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.
Xose
P.S. As my 700's dead, this XL is my last hope of getting europe mapping. Had Iberia only and quite old.

If you are getting this message on your unit & not TT Home "Operate my device", then either your navcore or map is not correctly patched.

I haven't touched the navcore - it's as it came but the map section says this map supports 801X - so should be OK shouldn't it?

What do you suggest I can do next without killing my XL?

Also, this isn't the model where djc151084 (I think it was he) wrote "don't patch these navcores as TT got these models out quick to sell them and if you mess with the navcore you could wreck the device... or similar?

Thanks,
Xose
P.S. Just had a thought, I don't have to run the navcore patch even though it's the one that came on the machine because I updated the map... do I?

1. You must patch your navcore to use a patched map.

2. You are referring to the Bootloader 1.0100 and 1.0200 issue.

1. also answers your P.S. question.

OK, thanks tendriver.

Can I use the SE_Navcore.8.412.1236_32mb, which I already have as tried to revive my 700 and failed on the signal issue?

This navcore looks great, though it has a lot of functions the one XL can't use.... so if there's an appropiate later navcore for this map, might make more sence.

Thanks again,
Xose
