Problems with my tomtom 3rd edition

Postby hout1 » Fri Sep 01, 2017 1:30 am

Hi everyone,
First of all, my excuse for my bad english but I have used google translate that's why it might look so strange. I have a problem with my tomtom 3rd edition. First, I used the navcore 9510 with bootloader 5.5011 on my tomtom, but after using Map benelux 995.8549 I got problems.
When the tomtom handles an angle/turn around a corner, he no longer knows where he is. You see the map, but not the red guide line. The compass has also lost its way. After 15 seconds the tomtom knows where to go. That's why I thought to install a navcore via tomtom home, an earlier version. But after installing map benelux 995.8549 and activating via Fast Activate, I get the error message "No maps found" on my tomtom. The second time i used bootloader 5.5001 and navcore 8497. Oh yes, when installing navcore 8497, I copied and pasted the voices and postal codes from my backup navcore 9510. Does anyone know what the problem is? and may help me solve this. Thank you in advance.
With best regards,
Hout1

P.s. my serialnumber starts with y2

You describe a few different issues but you may as well start afresh now...

This has just been covered in another thread so follow Holyhead's tutorial but obviously substitute with the Benelux 995.8549 map...click here
