I think I made it sound like the route was very complex, it was simple for the unit, it was me that had the problem as some parts had changed but probably my fault for not updating the map (not anywhere near the crashing of the TT though) however I didn't have time as it was a sudden journey I had to make, which is unusual for me and as I'm still a dummy updating it takes me some time to get it to work. This time I seem to have selected the correct map 186 with advanced features but I only actually need the ALG function.
Yes, the ALG function is very useful but it does consume extra memory of the device. The swap file should help with this situation on older units like yours.

Whatever went wrong must have prevented the unit powering on again after turning off as both units were completely unresponsive to power on again till the card was removed, then they powered up and down, refit card and then powered back as normal and functional. But I had to get home so didn't have time to do this on the journey.
Sorry I didn't think to look at the time but will if it happens again but have a feeling the unit had locked up / crashed.
No, I meant does your TT One display the time ok or is it permanently showing 0:00? If it is always showing the time as 0:00, then it is highly likely your device lost it's satellite fix and it needs a more permanent fix.

I will let you know if I have any other problems if you don't hear then all is well and I suspect it will be.
Best wishes, Dave.
No need to apologise mate, I was only pointing it out as it is good forum etiquette and will save you some typing
Fingers crossed you won't have any more problems
