reboot issue TomTom One IQ S Edition (N14644)

Postby ThaTeach » Sat Mar 02, 2013 10:55 am

Hello all,

Hopefully some of you can help me out.. after several weeks, I'm out of suggestions....

I've been asked to update a map in this TomTom one device. I've done this with other diveces several times, but this one already had a problem: it keeps rebooting when it wants to know the time. THe device always starts up with asking for the Language, then it at some point asks for the time. After pushing the okay-button it freezes and reboots after 15 seconds.

I've tried already:

- low formatting the 2 gigs and installing navcore with TTHome2.
- cleanflashing all the time for atleast 5 times in a row.
- from TTHome2: installing even the last navcore 9.465 didn't brought me any further.
- I updated the bootloader from 5.5136 up to 5.5138.
- I removed the West Erope map. it's a legal map bought in 2009.

None above resulted in any different behaviour of the device.... so now I hope that any of you have a brilliant idea!!

We already had a similar problem here: :link:
If hard reset, clear flash tool and installing a new Navcore does not help I have to assume a hardware fault.
So please check again after clear flash, and the installation on an empty device.

You can still try to get it working, and instead of trash sell the rest on Ebay, screens are always needed.
