just on the power of a cigerette lighter/usb power?
Which navcore is the most memory efficient with good amount of features (bluetooth, mobile phone etc)? The reason i ask this is because the last navcore was very sluggish on the 520.
Also I have a different question. I got points on my licence for using mobile phone whilst driving
. I tried to use this tt for bluetooth handsfree, but even after switching on the fm transmitter, whenever i talked, the sound of the person came out of the tomtom internal speaker and not the car speakers...is there anyway around this?
ttnewbie, you have brought up some very good, interesting questions!
1) Your TomTom will still work even if you remove the battery. The power from the cigarette charger will run it, no problem.
2) It's a matter of taste which navcore is best, as the GO 720 will run almost any navcore, but will run some better than others. You could try the two navcores 9.004 & 9.205 already mentioned here by Downunder. I've tried the 9.004 and found it very reliable. Try them all out and see which one you prefer. Just make sure all functions, especially bluetooth and FM transmitter, are working reliably. At the moment I'm using the latest official navcore 8.351 for my GO 730 and all the functions are working well, which is to be expected with an offical navcore.
3) No, you can't have the handsfree phone calls running through the FM transmitter. I wish that was possible too!
