Recommendations - Old XL One

Postby sausageballs » Wed Jul 04, 2012 1:31 pm

Hey all!
Firstly, let me say I am very impressed with the information collected on this site - but, being new to this, I'm also a little overwhelmed.
This is the device I'm working with:
TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL
BootLoaderVersion=53013
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369
CurrentMap=USA_and_Canada
CurrentMapVersion=715.1712
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

Am I correct that the navcore of 8.010 is the highest this device will support? If not, what is recommended?

Also, what is the highest map version it will support (with recommended nc)?

Thanks all, and sorry if I should have been able to determine this on my own....

That's why I asked.

United States 890.4234 is your only 890 Map Edition option. You might try navcore 9.205.

Thanks brother! Is 890.4234 usable w/o updating the navcore - meaning can I put in that map using my current nc?

And regarding the download - what is with the Filefactory "All free download slots are in use" message? I was trying all morning to get 885.4092 and haven't gotten beyond that message yet... Don't tell me the file hosting is being run by a bunch of UA grads ;)

1. Yes, 4234 is good with ANY navcore. Patch the navcore & map, then you are good to go.
2. No UA grads are involved. They aren't that smart!! Most of our members are on the other side of the "Big Pond". They keep FF tied up. Do your downloading while they are in their sleep cycle.

FFR, there is a navcore & map compatibility chart in post 1 of every "All New Maps" thread.

Thanks for keeping me straight, tendriver. I looked at the chart for the 890.xxx maps at [Please Register or Login to download file] and didnt see my navcore version listed. I see 8.03x, but I have 8.010 so I wasn't sure it would work.

We can't list all of them, so you get to hone your interpolating skills.
