ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369
CurrentMap=Western_Europe_1GB_20090301_162738
CurrentMapVersion=715.1689

Are those maps compatible with my device ?

; Western_and_Central_Europe_855_2884
80 AD 8C 93 F4 41 D4 CF 77 B4 6D A9 91 E6 25 84 Western_and_Central_Europe-182.meta

Or

; Scandinavia_855_2884
03 57 BE 7C 49 D8 28 38 11 2B C0 7C 01 44 A3 AF Scandinavia-182.meta

And if so, how do i make it work?
( ive made a backupcopy of my device and ive downloaded 'ENG_FastActivate_11.09.2010_Premium_edition_v1.6' )

No!, those maps are not compatible with your current version of navcore, so i reccomend upgrading your navcore

 • Take a backup with windows explorer (Copy and paste)
 • Download SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar from http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation and run the .exe
 • When the new navcore is installed copy over your map folders, ( 1 map per folder ) The 2 maps you asked about in post 1 will work now with the new navcore.
 • run the file AutoActivate.exe (Wich you find in the root of your device after the navcore upgrade) This patches your map.
 • Done!

But....

1. I get a errormessage when i try to update satelite/shared maps from TomTom Home. Anything to be bothered about or is there a "cure" around?

2. In the future when new maps are released. Am i correct, is it just to overwrite the current map version and rerun 'Fastactivate', or?

1. Is the error you are getting wrong version error, ? to fix this follow instructions below

To fix the wrong version error you need to do the following
Change lines 9 + 10 in ttgo.bif to read Latest officiall navcore for your device (if you want to know the figures please ask and i will tell you)
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=????
ApplicationVersion=????

3.Save the file as ttgo.bak
4.Reboot your device
5.Connect to tthome and that error should not show up now

2. Yes when a new map is released delite the old one and copy in the new 1 and run AutoActivate ;)

To correct the error message, follow djc's instructions & use these values in lines 9 & 10.
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369

Do not overwrite your current map version. As djc said above, remove the entire old map folder and copy in the entire new map folder.

How odd is this....

After DJC helped me with "upgrading" my gps earlier in the thread i got:

DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL
BootLoaderVersion=53026
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9205
ApplicationVersion=547817.1
CurrentMap=Scandinavia_855_2884
CurrentMapVersion=855.2884

I exchange the values to 8010 and 9369 as you adviced me......but *PooF* they are back after i restart the GPS....how is that?

If you read my instructions above again, you must open the ttgo.bif file > change the values > SAVE AS ttgo.bak
so you will have 2 files
 • ttgo.bif (this has your current used navcore values inside , You can not permenantly change this file) ,
 • ttgo.bak (This has the latest officiall navcore values inside)
