Replace an original Navteq System by a Tomtom one on my new

Hi Forum,

First, all my thanks for your great job, I'm a quarterly user since several months with my XL.

Today, I just bought my new car (Chevrolet Malibu) and would like to know if it's possible to change my Original Navteq system with a Tomtom configuration.

I just know that my car nav works with a SD Card and wince 6.0

Thanks in advance for your help

Olivier

Tomtom doesn't work properly under wince 6, and is limited in features compared to other GPS applications.

Thanks for your answer.

So, if tomtom is not the good idea, what could be the best deal to have the best and updated maps in my car ?
And, if possible, a little tuto to do it !!! :think:

Take a look at igo 8 or igo primo, a tutorial would be device specific, but shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Hi, Were you able to change the Navigation system of the Malibu?

The last post, prior to your's, is over 2 months old. I'll be suprised, if you get an answer.

Hi,

@tendrive : you loose...

@ywa00 : No, my Malibu has still his manufactured embeded system (poor and outdated !)
I tried with IGO 8 but was not able to bypass from a new SDHD Card toward the car...

But still hope it will work a day !!

PS : in the meantime, I drive with my old XL with updated map and spedcams...
