Hello I've a TomTom One XL (64mb RAM, 1GB internal) that seems bricked. I can not start it normally only to Black info screen. Any help?

I does not turn on, only long press the button and black info screen.

What happens if you connect it with a computer? Do you a drive with content?
If so quickformat it fat32, restart it and let TT Home install install software till it's done and see if it starts now.

Already done (yes I can see it as a flash drive). Same thing it does not turns on normally. I've to long press and go to black screen in order to have it on. If I just push the on button nothing happens, I'm forced to long press it and this way I go to Black screen.

But you did see content on the device? That would suggest the flash memory is still okay.

Yes, I've updated it and when it ask me to restart I unplug it and it shuts down. If I press the on button it does not happen anything. I must long press it in order to have any response and it goes to the black screen.

Sounds like the navcore might be corrupt.

As a last resort, when at the diagnostic screen try tapping the power button 3 times in quick succession, then plug it into the PC and run TomTom Home software.

Hopefully, it'll download and install the correct application (navcore) for the device and start up again...then you've just got to sort the map side of things out

My question was if, within TTH, the device could be operated. See the menu in TTH. He has already reported that the navcore was reinstalled.

I'm copying again the map in order to try the demo navigation from TTH.

I don't see any reference to you doing a full [30 sec.] reset.
I do not give help by PM. It deprives our other members of a chance to learn. Please post your issue in the appropriate forum/thread. You will get an answer.
