(2ND POST)
I am trying to install a NC, however , before getting to the step of installing the maps into it , I get the following error message upon starting device:
WARNING
None of the available voices can be used with the current language .You will not hear any spoken instructions.

I tried NC 9.054 and NC 9.103 , i get the same "warning ".


Please advise if I am missing a step or doing something wrong

Why are you trying to boot your XL before installing any maps?

Installation of NC 9.054 and and map 870 of us and canada completed, however no voice.
will try to read more about and try to get it to work

Did you install 9.054 over your old navcore or did you do a "clean" install to an empty memory?

1. Since voices are not normally included, I doubt that you have any voices loaded on your unit, unless you have added them.

i finally managed to install SE 205.547817.1 and v870.3417 and Serena (voice).
1-is lane change included in this NC ?
2- what TT model does it belong to ?

1. No, IQ & ALG (Lane change) is not included in any of the USA & C 870 maps.
2. Navcore 9.205 is a Rider 3 navcore.

1. I repeat from post 8: IQ & ALG (Lane change) is not included in any of the USA & C 870 maps.
2. I'm using the same navcore that you are.

Now that we established that (Canada and USA) V870 has no IQ and ALG, is there an older map that DOES ????

No. USA & C maps have never had IQ & ALG. These maps are designed for 1GB devices. North America maps are designed for 2GB or larger devices & do have IQ & ALG, except for NA 870.3391.
