Safety/Speed Cameras - USA/Canada

Installed new maps as my signature and both working OK.

Having downloaded the SafetyCam Zip and installed into Western Europe map and operates OK.

But for the Canadian Map, using TomTom Home and TomTom Website, no downloads can be found. I remember on my last map update a few years ago, TT Home had a free SafetyCam download for USA/Canada map if wanted.

But now it appears if I'm wrong this service is no longer available free as it was and is now part of the Live Srevice. Whether it will work or not I have copied the US/CA files from the Safety Camera ZIP download and paste them into the Canada/Alaska map file.

I am correct or wrong.

1. I know you went to TT Home, "Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc.", Safety Cameras, with no results. In the upper right corner of the Safety Cameras window, did you change "View" from Recommended to ALL?

2. Yep, it is still free.

3. They will work as soon as you patch them with FastActivate.

1. Yes i went to TT Home "recommended" and "All", nothing displayed.

2. Went to TT website UK and Canada (en) and found no link/reference to any SafetyCam download for anywhere other than Europe and S.Africa.

3. Yes both maps are patched and Europe map Cams are OK, won't be able to try Canada till arrive there.

It's whether the USA/Canada cams are patched or not. Look in your Canada Alaska map folder for both a Safety_Cam_US_Canada_TomTomOv2 & Safety_Cam_US_Canada_TomTomOv2.dct file. If the ov2.dct file is there, the cams are patched & will work. The only other step is to setup the alerts for the cams.

OK means ???

OK means, Both maps have dct files where I have used FA.

But still can't find any free download for Safety/Mobile Cameras USA/Canada at TT even when selecting Canada as where I'm based, as I used to do.

1. I asked about the cam .dct files, not the map .dct files.
2. You will not find them @ TT.com.

Zip a copy of your USA & Canada .pna & .meta files into a .rar file, then post it here.
