Simplified menu (EasyMenu) in older TomTom XXL

Postby dr_goblin » Wed Aug 17, 2011 8:18 pm

Hi everyone,

I have one question :-). I've got TomTom XXL IQ Routes 540 with standard full menu, NavCore is 9.061 and Boot is 5.5279.

So my question is, if is it possible to have a new EasyMenu (just 2 buttons in menu) from new XXL 550 in my XXL 540? I tried to install Navcore 9.161 (last one from XXL 550) and 9.151 (from XL/XXL with EasyMenu). In original devices it works perfect, EasyMenu is contained, but if I install this versions of NavCore to my XXL 540, EasyMenu is not there - there is still Full Menu.

Is it possible, that the NavCore recognizes my device and will not use EasyMenu?

Is there any way how to install a new EasyMenu into my device (XXL 540 IQ)???

Thank you for helping me.

Best regards ,
Martin

Install 9.205 by loading the .cab files, then only the ttsystem & PNDNavigator files from the .rar below. Add the attached file to the root & reboot.

http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/9.205.rider3.CAB-navcore-RIDER.cab

X_ttsystem.9.205.547817.1.rar

Disclaimer: I get the 2 button menu on a x20 device this way.
