Latest would be the 945 map:
; Southern_Africa_945_6256
E5 B1 6A 90 99 28 2E 60 F9 4E 57 76 D8 83 63 B6 Southern_Africa-100320.meta
But this is an Android map I am not sure if you can activate it for the normal TT, give it a try.
The last normal one is from the 930 map archive:
; Southern_Africa 930_5611
84 9E D6 48 78 97 67 69 8F 72 F8 0A E0 97 C9 5E Southern_Africa-925.meta

If in doubt get the Android app and use the latest 945 map on there.

1. Yes, you can use an Android map on a normal TT. These maps do not have cspeech & ASR. They require navcore 9.0XX or higher. The current official navcore for a 730 is 9.510.
2. Southern_Africa 930_5611 is also an Android map.

Thank you for taking time to reply and providing the pertinent information to both of you.
It appears that I will need navcore 9.0XX or higher.

It appears that the navcore currently may be 8.351.....would that be correct?

excerpt from the device info is below:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982

If the navcore needs updating are you able to point me in the direction or help me?

Again thank you for your help.

1. You are correct.
2. Run TomTom Home. It will give you a mandatory navcore update.
