Southern_Africa Maps

Postby dirkmare » Mon Dec 29, 2014 1:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know when or how to get the meta files for Southern Africa..

v940 no usable meta code
http://www.navitotal.com/maps-v9xx-f179/940-map-collections-only-t16463.html

v935-937 no usable meta code
http://www.navitotal.com/maps-v9xx-f179/935-937-map-collections-only-t16052.html

v930-933 no usable meta code
http://www.navitotal.com/general-discussions-about-tomtom-f81/all-maps-930-933-xxxx-t15548.html

v925 not sure but it's to old

I followed a couple of guides,
http://www.navitotal.com/navcores-9-for-tomtom-devices-f124/universal-navcore-installer-t14168.html
http://www.navitotal.com/tutorials-f80/how-get-the-right-navcore-and-map-working-your-t14555.html

What I can gather from my issues is that the map versions I can download and the integrated meta and the meta file within the maps folder does not match.
integrated_meta.txt in root
Code: Select all
DC E2 37 01 E3 6A 05 4B 3B 0B 7C FA 07 82 63 EE Southern_Africa-100218.meta            ; Southern_Africa            940_6004

file within the map folder
Code: Select all
Southern_Africa-100201.meta

What am I missing? Please any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have upgraded the navcore to v9 using the universal.

Welcome to Navitotal.
A meta code, aka blowfish, can only be created by someone that has bought the map, then shared.

Thank You for your quick reply. What files and/or information are we looking for, let me see if I can get it for us?

FastActivate option 5. RunMeForCode (Create a meta/blowfish code from genuine map)
You can create a meta code with this button/option...you have to be the original owner of the map.
Meta data does NOT contain any personal information from you or your device. It is safe to share.

It works just fine but you need a valid (bought) map from TT to generate the key.
It won't work with a map that is not genuine.

A meta code can be created with FastActivate, for ANY map that has been bought, & that map is on the device, that it was bought for.
The created meta code can then be used to patch ANY copy of that same Edition & Version map, regardless of where the copy came from.
