Speed cam warning settings

Postby tommysboy » Thu Jun 14, 2012 9:18 pm

Hi all

New here, recommended to visit here to try and solve my problems.

I got a which I think is a TomTom One V3 with 35MB from the info shown on the screen.

I have a Navcore 9.401, WesternEurope 865.3245 and using a 4GB SD card.

I have been told with my Navcore I should be able to set the distance/time before the Alert shown of a known Speed Cam. For some reason when opening TT services, Speed Cameras, Change warning preferences. All I see are the 11 various types of Cameras. When selecting a type of camera, next screen "Warn me when approaching the camera" - Always - Only when speeding - Never, next screen "Select a warning sound". Once sound is selected and tested, its then return back to the camera type list for another selection. The option is not shown anywhere to insert a distance or time for a camera.

On the screen after TT services and Speed Cameras selection, I see 4 icons. 'Report speed cameras' - 'Change warning preferences' - 'Disable alerts' - 'Disable report button'.

I have been told this could be done without having to use the PGPSW version of Speed Cameras.

Any ideas.

thank you

Forgive me, but what is the link suppose to be telling me. Are you refering to the last post made. ? If so, are you saying this cannot be overwritten by tweaking where mates of mine use these extra settings to set their tomtoms.

1. You are forgiven. Speed cam warning, setting Post 11.
2. I suggest you find out what navcore is on your mates' units.

But I see nobody has replied his Post #12 as to from what version of Navcore etc this was implemented and those following it.

Yes I will have to find what version he has.

I had a sneak preview of my mates navcore version from his screen info.

Its 8.562 and you set times against the various types of camera's, ie; 20 secs or 30 secs whatever you want, also your choice of alert sounding.

Question I have
: Under which type of camera would you class a mobile unit on a bridge over a motorway etc.
: Under which type for a village mobile hardstand pad for a mobile unit.

1) Mobile safety camera
2) Mobile camera hot spot
3) Miscellaneous safety camera

It doesn't make any difference, as long as you have the alert setting like you want them!!
