speedcam warning sounds?

dunno if i should post here or under speedcams?
problem is i have speedcams which warn but only little icon and no sound? cannot find speedcams in poi or anywhere else but they are there as ran a demo and icon flashes up on screen.

running navcore 8.412 with 32mb ram and uk 850.2781 map and western and central europe 850.2801
if need anymore info ask and i'll give

hope someone can help

TomTom speedcams do not show-up in POI. Speedcam alerts are set up in main menu, TomTom Services, Safety alerts, Change warning preferences.

thanx tendriver :) just running demo see what happens

just done and still no :doh: think i might be able to sort it lol 2 secs

update again......don't seem to have tomtom services, safety alerts and change warning preferences? i have safety preferences but not sure about anything else i'm afraid folks

Safety preferences is in Change preferences. It's not what you are looking for. TomTom services is in Main Menu, if you have it.

is there an idiots guide to change emulation in tutorials?
would love to give anything a try folks.
and again wish to thank you all for being so helpeful again :)

is it the switchfiles i take it?

Ok create a file in the root of your device called "model.txt" inside this file you want your emulation, "ori, x20. x30, x40, x50, x40light" and so on so to emulate a x40 model inside the model.txt you will have x40

ok i'm a bit thick and its a bit late so here goes.
connect to pc and open tomtom, create a txt file called model.txt now do i open it with notepad to add x40 or do i do it another way?

attached is a model.txt file set to x40. put it in the root of you device. if no help, open it & change the emu to 1 of the others

ok not working so trying the config folder and setconfig.txt file and model.txt file see if that works

very quick update......it worked yippee put bton into setconfig.txt and x40 into model.txt now have speedcams woo-hoo many thanx tendriver
