SpeedCams not showing certain Speed Cams in situ.

Postby naviboy » Sun May 13, 2012 8:48 pm

Having done the latest update with Speedcams then trying them out around my area where known Cameras are installed.

Although it shows Static and Mobile Van sites, but the Variable Cams on the Motorway which have been place for over 12 months and are to stay, are not indicated.

How can I put these and others on Map updates etc for others to be warned where they are.

Thanks

OK Thanks,

Found "Map Share™ Reporter", so marked and reported where they are.

Thanks again

Map Share Reporter is for map corrections, not speedcams.

As stated in post 2, to report speedcams, Main Menu, TomTom Services, Speed Cameras, Report speed cameras.

OK, sorry been along the route to the page as suggested. But on the UK setting/page for 'Speed Cameras', I see no provision to report a speed camera.

I set my unit to the ONE v3 mode & the path to Report speed cameras remains the same as stated in posts 2 & 4.

Refresh my memory. Where did you download 8.410 from?

Sorry don't remember whether I got 8.410 from here or the original GPS Underground before it was defunct.

I am aliitle confused of where you say I should do the reporting, through TT Home menu or my TT menu.

thanks

On your TomTom go: Main Menu, TomTom Services, Speed Cameras, Report speed cameras.

OK,

Where you asked where I got my 8.410 and where I cannot see what you say I should see to report a safety cameras from my Main Menu.

I have downloaded and installed Navcore 9.205 I have seen used in other TT ones and is shown to be ok with the maps I have, yet once I have done all the FastActivates. TT is ok up to where it says either "map meta 512 cannot be used with this device".

Does this mean I cannot use 9.205 and will have to revert back to 8.410 or a better Navcore you may suggest that will work with my Device and Maps.

Thanks again

Normally it means that your maps are not patched. If the map folders contain the.meta.dct files, then the maps are not the problem.
That leaves the navcore as not being patched

I reverted back to a newly downloaded SE_Navrcore 8.410.1218 basic

I deleted everything from the SD except the Maps, Art, Voices and Fastactivate as I did for 9.205. Copied and pasted the 8.410 from my folder and ran fastactivate for all.

I now have the Safety Cam report icon on my TT.

As for 9.205 not working with my Maps etc, used the Auto/install file as downloaded which expanded itself onto my SD, then Fastactivated all as normally and it showed all had been patched etc. The only thing I didnot see a TTsystem file as with 8.410.

thanks

1. You must also have a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file on the card, before you can patch the maps.
2. Same answer as post 1.

OK,

Sorry to be a pain, Although I can put the 'report safety camera' alongside Use Night colours on to my quick touch screen. But its greyed out with a small cross.

But although I have the new 8.410 and TT is operating OK. I still don't see :- "Main Menu, TomTom Services, Speed Cameras, Report speed cameras".

All I see on the 3 main menu screens:- 1 of 3 Navigate to, Find alternative, Help me, Add Favourite, Change preferences. 2 of 3 Prepare route, Browse map, Map corrections, Manage phones, Music and Media. 3 of 3 Tom Tom Traffic, Mobile phone, Clear route, View route, Itinerary planning

thanks again

Did you also download & install SE_ttsystem.8.410.1218.rar? It and SE_Navrcore 8.410.1218 basicpack go together

Yep, both from here.

Expanded the rar files, copied and pasted 8.410 to SD in TT device, then the same with ttsystem overwriting files as it wanted. Then ran Fastactivate.

Thanks
