TT START NavCore with ALG?

TT START NavCore with ALG?

Postby gm4nsz » Fri Sep 07, 2012 3:59 pm

I have been trying to get a START 32Mb to give me ALG using the appropriate map. It is currently running 9.405.

I tried loading Downunder's 9.450 Memoryboost program which I had success with down to ONE v1 level with ALG but the START don't start:) It hangs at the Splash screen.

I have tried the various threads and have an advanced menu but can't see ALG anywhere. Anybody any thoughts on what Navcore will work? Thanks. Config below:

DeviceName=TomTom START
DeviceVersionHW=START
DeviceSerialNumber=
DeviceUniqueID=
RamDiskVersion=20120221
BootLoaderVersion=55274
LinuxVersion=842337
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9405
ApplicationVersion=867026.2

ALG is available with all SE or DSA 9.4XX navcores, set to the right emulation and any ALG map. What map are you using?

I'm trying the latest 895_4438. I have managed to get a menu I recognise, but I cannot see the Show/Hide lane guidance button. Can I manually add that to the TomTom.mnu file and, if so, how? Thanks.

If you are emulating a X40 or X50 unit & have a 7 page Change preferences menu, look for an Advanced preferences option. On page 2, check "show lane images".

I managed to get it running using Downunder's full backup of 9.430. It wasn't interested in either the official navcore from HOME nor the MemoryBoost version of 9.450 which I had high hopes for as it worked on the ONE v1; it froze at the splash on both. The unit may have some glitch in the hardware so I'll have to be careful what I load in future:) Thanks for the help.
