Stop TThome updates itself

Postby Killer » Fri Sep 17, 2010 12:16 pm

Hi there,

I've a strange problem with TomTom Home installed on my Pc...

I'm using an old version 2.5 and everything works fine, but everytime I open ma TThome, it try to updates itself at the last version 2.7.

Yes, I know it's normal, but the problem is that varsion don't want to recognise my TT 720.

So I got to be very quick in my updates, otherwise TThome 2.5 download new version 2.7 and don't work anymore...

Well, the question is : Can I stop auto upadates for TTHome itself ?

Is there a registry Key or other thing for disable auto-updates ?

Thanx in advance.

tthome v 2.7 should work fine for your 720 , please let it update and then tell me any errors you got, i have a 720 and so does tendriver and the newest version of tt home works well for us as do previous versions.

But I've done !

The problem is that the new version V2.7 don't recognize my 720 with ANY Navcore v9.xx.

The error is "No device connected" in the right down corner of the status bar.

I tried everything, but there's no way to fix this.

Try to play with varous .bif/.ori, reinstalling everything in a "clean mode", made cleanflash.... But no fix.

With nav. 8.xx it's OK, with navcore 9.xx TThome don't want to see my Go.

How are you loading the 9 navcores? Confirm that with TT Home open & your 720 in it's dock, when you turn off the 720 & reboot, the device asks if you want to connect to your puter. When you say "Yes", No device connected" is still in the lower right corner.

Exactly.

Aaah... There's another thing :

At the first time after installation, the new TThome recognize and update the device, but after you TOTALLY exit program, the same device will not recognized anymore.

I try to diconnect the device BEFORE to close the program, but it was the same : the device will not be reconnected anymore.

The only way to have another chance ( "Chance", not sure ) is a completely TTHOme removal with manual removing of every file and registry key, and then reinstall TThome again.

A simply reinstall on the previous installation seems don't solve problem.

So, after many time spent without results, I decide to stop the auto-updates and keep the v2.5 for ever...

Sometimes I think could be better to find an exorcist....

I understand your frustration. It would be a big help to Navitotal, if you will continue to let us solve this.
