Stuck on time set then reboot

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the setups in post 3? Please don't shout at me

I've copied those files over to the XL IQ - I presume I can't use them on the start due to the wrong navcore version

No change

2a. I've copied those files over to the XL IQ -
2b.I presume I can't use them on the start due to the wrong navcore version

No change

1. The navcores for the start is the official 9.053 + UK&ROI 890.4222
The navcore for the XL IQ is again the official 9.430 + UK&ROI 890.4222

2a. I take it you mean the 2 files in the link.
2b. Good presumption.

I'm guessing I've got a hardware problem here - officially giving up unless anyone else has any bright ideas

Were either of these units operable when you received them?

No - the XL IQ routes was bought off ebay as faulty stuck on logo at startup. The START was from a coleague in a similar state. Like I said I had previously fixed a START with a low level format, clearflash and a total reinstall so though I might have a chance. Thanks for trying to help anyway.

You did not consider this information to be important enuf to tell us before post 8??? At that point, in response to Downunder's question, you admittted that you bought the Start from ebay, knowing it was faulty. No mention of the XL IQ also being faulty until post 20 in response to my question. This thread is closed!!
