I'm no sucker....

...and neither is this TomTom XL v4 IQ Routes EasyPort. :lol:

Not long bought it and today It got its maiden journey, well after I gave up trying to stick it to the windscreen, is this easy port sucker thing for real? I cannot believe something soooooo not fit for purpose made it into production, it couldn't support itself never mind a Sat Nav attached to it lol did the 50 mile round trip with the unit lying in the centre console area near the gear shift. The unit performed gr8 shame about the mount.

My obvious question being is there an alternative out there that does the job? I imagine someone somewhere will be capitalizing on TT's poor attempt at a windscreen mount.

My previous TomTom Xl v2 suction mount was the opposite, sooked like a hooker and never let me down.

I did do a search and was surprised to get no hits, read a dozen pages into this thread before posting, apols if its been done to death and I'm missing it.

Any pointers to an alternative [or a workarounds] appreciated :drinks:

You are the first member to ask this question. To be honest, we don't get into the external hardware issues, other than an rare antenna question.

"Not long bought it" So what does the reseller have to tell about it? Probably he will tell you that the windscreen must be clean and free of grease or greasy substances, as well as the sucking cup.

Never gave it a thought to being a software based forum, I'll do a bit more in-depth googling.

@nabi - that's the answers I thought I'd get so never bothered.

Thanks for the replies.
