Hi! I have a TomTom Via Model 53. App 10.052.587989.32. It was initially rejected in TTActivator 1.20 due to incompatibility, but after updating to 12.075.3065980.74 patching is possible though it cannot complete due to this error:

THE FALLOWING PACKAGES CAUSED AN ERROR-INSTALL_PATCH.TTPKG

Message:

"broken pipe" Could that possibly mean there's a problem with your USB plug/lead maybe? To prove this can you try a different cable in a different USB port?

Thank you for your reply, biggerdave. I'm not sure if the cable is the cause of this error. It works fine when installing/updating new packages (.ttpkg). I did also try plugging the device directly to laptop using different ports. Still the error persists. I will get an other cable and try again and let you know if that works, though I doubt it.

Hi, biggerdave. I tried what you suggested, but still a brand new cable couldn't solve the issue. I make sure MyDriveConnect is turned off and no related services are running in the background before I attempt to patch my TomTom device.

In that case I guess you'll need to wait for a real expert to come up with something; good luck anyway
