Is the latest FastActivate up to date

Postby bondyz » Sun Dec 07, 2014 4:45 am

I'm wondering whether FastActivate reflects the current Australia Map Meta data.

I downloaded the latest FastActivate so I can activate my friends' TomTom Map as well as Navcore, seems it does not reflect the current Australian Map Meta data I've uploaded.

In the current FastActivate version it has 72 4B A9 5C 73 03 0E 9A 3B 74 1D 31 55 BE 10 9B Australia-100218.meta

However the current (new) meta data from my map reads 8E A0 C0 35 4B 42 C5 0A 08 CB 17 13 E9 2D 89 A0 Australia-100198.meta.

Does FastActivate needs updating to incorporate the new meta?

Thanks

1. No it doesn't.
2. Because, as far as I can tell, you are the first person to post it.
3. There are several AU 940 map versions. The meta code that you see is for AU 940.6004.
4. If you have a new meta code, which is not in the integrated or updated meta.txt (See in program for date of current integrated meta.txt), then you must put the new meta code in a file named meta.txt (create it with notepad) and copy it to the Device/SD-Card ROOT Directory or keep it in the same directory as FastActivate.exe. Run FA.exe option 2 to patch the map.

Tendriver,

Many thanks for the explanation, that does make sense.

I'll give it a go with Notepad so I can then place it into SD Card Root of my friends TomTom, at least he will be up to date then.

Thanks
