Is it the map or meta that is incomplete.

Is it the map or meta that is incomplete.

Postby naviboy » Wed May 25, 2016 8:30 pm

Recently downloaded map 970-7466 western europe. Downloaded the latest FastActivate and EasyActivator.

When I run to 'patch the map etc' I get an error. "Western_Europe-100772 meta => .dct ERROR".

I found the meta code in the "Meta Codes 970", Europe_West v970.7466 9C AF EB 3E BC 78 55 F6 9B 4E D3 5C 98 E5 9F 5D Europe_West-100772.meta

Searched of how to check/edit/modify the META file. People say to use an editor, tried several without success.

So is the downloaded map incomplete/faulty or a problem with the meta code, if the code is the problem. How do I read/edit the file.

thanks

Fair enough your'e right.

But why is my Map available for download by either choice, implying that they have a meta code.
Where some maps image/titles have no download availability.

They don,t implying that they have a meta code. If you buy the map Western Europe and give the meta code to the community then there is a meta code. You have more then 180 postings so you should by now know that first you look for the map and also for a meta code.
No meta code you can,t use the map

Yep, maps change each quarter, the necessity of having an accompanying meta code does not change.

Western Europe is a "free standing" map.
The full featured Europe map has gotten so large, that TT created a 5 zone map setup for Europe. Europe West is one of the zones, along with Europe North, South, East & Central.
I do not give help by PM. It deprives our other members of a chance to learn. Please post your issue in the appropriate forum/thread. You will get an answer.
