Time to bin TT for a Smart phone ?

Updated recently to United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_1105_11752.

Used it last week for a long trip not being to the destination previously.

Noticed the map following my position being slow and I missed turnings because of that, and then while rerouting a new route. TT shut down and rebooted, so as not take another wrong turn and had to stop waiting for it sort itself out.

Not sure if its the map as all the previous versions never had a problem or its my TT.

So think its time to boot TT for a Smart phone or newer model as I use TT overseas saving roaming charges.
Unless someone can convince me not to.

Just in case it really is "just the map" you may as well hold on until the next 1110 maps come out within the next couple of weeks then decide?

I have the Premium X model as well as TT on my phone, I love the Premium X but find myself constantly using my phone nowadays as it's so dam convenient. In respect of the phone app, I have used that all over Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Florida as well as here in the U.K with no problems.
