I work in banking where there are many acronyms and slang I don't expect you to know them just because you have a bank account. I have used the search function and I have been reading the tutorials but that doesn't mean I know all the short codes and slang that go along with it?

I empathize with you I do as I too am a moderator on another forum completely different style to this one. I too get asked the same question(s) each day. we are there together as a community to help educate and teach each other, that is what makes a good community forum no?

Downunder is saying that you have been a member for over 2 years & have 158 posts. There is no valid reason for you to not know the basics!!!! Have a read here: Definitions for dummies

To prevent TT Home from downloading & installing Navcore 9.465
Open the ttgo.bif file with Notepad.
Replace lines 9 & 10 with these:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9465
ApplicationVersion=1074274.1
Save this change by clicking "File" in the upper left corner of windows explorer, then "Save as" ttgo.bak. At this point, there is only a ttgo.bak file in the root, no ttgo.bif.
Disconnect & reboot. Now you will have a ttgo.bak, a ttgo.bif & a ttgo.ori file in the root & no TT Home upgrade to Navcore 9.465.

Because navcore 9.465 is the current official navcore for a GO 730, the above instructions do not apply to you.

Greyed out could mean you need to apply the TTS patch.
But it also depends on the emulation used, if it does not TTS it simply won't work.
But the HS/MB+HS versions should help.

I have now managed to get TTS working thanks

patch it and add a map.

I have just done this and TTS is now working. However, Premium Speed cams aren't working I have added both premium files to map folder and patched with activate if I go to TomTom Services they are showing top right but they do not appear when I am driving? (I have enabled them) Also Fuel icon not showing in TomTom Services even though I have put the fuel files in map folder patched and ran the cmd to create dct file? Last two things to sort out can you help?

Speed cams: Confirm that you have set up the alerts in TT Services, Speed Cameras, Change warning preferences.

Fuel: Confirm that you have copied the fuelprice.png & FuelStationsEU.bmp files into the map folder. You should have 7 fuel related files in the map folder.

Both cam files?
TT only works with standard or premium files.
Only way to get two "cam systems" is by using ONE TT cam (premium or normal) and cams from a third party provider.
IMHO the newer cam files from TT lack the quality as they removed about 50% of the data for some regions.
I still use a file that is now 2 years old, but at least it has the cams I need, where the current TT cams only show one cam on the entire trip.

Below is a screenshot of speed cams and fuel files. I was driving for 45 mins earlier and I was alerted of one red camera speed cam on muy entire journey. However, if I load my IGO I can see many many cameras everywhere where I live. Do you think it could be a corrupt file? I have downloaded the speedcams from the speedcam link here and picked the UK out of the rar. Thanks

TT cams have nothing in common with IGO cams.
Do the maths yourself and compare some older cam files with current ones and you'll notice the old one are much bigger.
for some stupid reasons TT removed a lot of know cams from their database.

That is odd? I don't suppose you have the old fashioned cameras that used to show up as POI's do you? they were much more reliable. I have tried playing around with the speedcam files but neither set are the old type that show as POIs?

Any idea why the fuel thing doesn't show up in TTservices? all I have is Weather, Speed Cameras, My TT services and inbox (greyed out)?

I may have a solution. For you to try out if it works. I think I tried it some years ago and (I think) it worked then.

Open the iGO speedcam file (in .txt format) in Excel or a freeware alternative and save it as a .csv file. Download itnconverter ([Please Register or Login to download file] ) and let it convert the .csv to .ov2 file for TomTom.
Than test it. I cannot give any guarantee it will work, but when, you are okay.

1. Official TomTom speed cams have never shown up as POIs. This is addressed in the next to last line of TomTom Official Speedcams 18.12.12 post 1. The older larger UK files were reliable when they were published, but not any longer. You would get a lot of alerts for cams that no longer exist. You got an alert with the current file, which tells us that your cam file is functioning propery.

2. I have looked at SE 9.465 in emu X20, X30, X40 & X50. The speed cam & fuel price icons are in all four.

I am going to try this later and will let you know the outcome.

Hmm if that's the case why isn't the fuel showing in mine? I have followed the instructions to the letter and all files are showing in the map folder on the SD CARD Is there a txt file or something that needs amending? very odd indeed.

Go to Main Menu, Change Preferences, Quick menu preferences & see if you have the Fuel Prices option. If yes, check it, then see if it is on the navigation page.
