Tom tom go730 installing maps on card

Postby welshnutteruk » Wed Apr 20, 2016 9:01 am

Hi all its all new to me, can I install the latest maps and speed cams to a SD card and then just insert it into the sat nav, reason I ask is its not mine so I don't want to update the sat nav incase anything goes wrong, so I was wondering if I can install all the latest on a card so it boots from the card when I use it
Many thanks

Yes you can do that

Installer 9510
Instructie
navcores-9-for-tomtom-devices-f124/universal-navcore-installer-t14168.html

1.Download link Installer 9510
topic12861.html

1) Take empty SD card from at least 4GB SDHC class 4 or higher.
2) Format the SD card Fat32 once slowly. If it's a new card then you can skip this.
3) Use NavCore Installer 9.510 DSA 64MB ram and place the files and folders on the SD card.
Insert SD Card in the device.
4) Reset the device (at least 20 sec) and then run it till the notice "No card found"
5) Place map Unpack it and
Copy the new map to your SD card in its own folder.
When you open the map you see the individual files.
Not a map in a map.
6) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your SD Card root.
Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2
7) SD card in the device. Reset the device (at least 20 sec)
Done
