Postby combat goofwing » Thu Nov 03, 2011 4:28 pm

trying to sort out my mates XL n14644, it has not been flashed or anything but he updated via tom tom home and installed 8083/9669 navcore, now when switched on it goes through the set up process but always freezes when he goes to set the time, ive looked at things like map settings etc to see if they could be cause but its not

any ideas on what could be causing this

Open the map's .pna file & post the contents, please.
I've never heard of a TT Home navcore update causing a problem, so I'm making gneric suggestions.
Things to try.
1. 30 second reset.
2. Clear Flash. [Please Register or Login to download file]
3. Confirm that the UK map folder is not inside another folder.
4. Cofirm that the UK map folder has a .meta.dct file.
5. Make a backup, then run FastActivate 23.10.2011 {1.8.7.4} Premium version using all four buttons left to right.
6. Re-install 8.083.
7. Start over.

Upgrade the map to an 875 edition.
6. We NEVER EVER use TT Home to update a navcore.

You completely misread my post #13. I'm not asking about your mate's device, I'm asking about your One XL setup as seen in your signature.
