tom tom one v2 boot problem

no its not my unit and i dont want to switch devices on tt home as you can only switch hem once every 6 months

I know it is not yours. If there was a problem doing it, I would not have mentioned it. You do not have to be logged in to TT Home to update. No switching devices required. I do it with other member's data frequently.

Also you could make a new account for your m8s TT or ask him has he registerd with TT home before ;)

See post 16.
You only need to log in to TT Home to see items that are linked to your My TomTom account (new purchases, subscriptions, etc) or make new purchases.

Creating a new account is not necessary.

i updated device via tom tom home it download up to date tt software quick gps fix but it still sticks on boot screen

details are now from the bif file

thats all thats in the bif file now as it sticks on boot screen and will not go any further like before

having the same trouble now with a one xl SD card model but the software and map are on the 1 gig internal memory, tried uploading the SD for the tom tom one but the link you gave the site didnt seem to want to take it


the one xl map seems patched already but it also sticks on boot screen here the bif file info

1. This may be my fault for not telling you to zip or rar the files in order to upload them.
2. The .bif in post 25 does not have a map associated with it.

working on both issues at the mo

got the XL to boot now , the xl has a 1 gig internal memory and a sd card slot, when you inset the SD card it auto defaults to load from the card, is it possible to put the navcore and 1 map on the SD card ,but put a different map only on the internal drive and manage it via switch maps been trying but with no luck

further update on the tom tom one decided to do a new card with new navcoe(8.412 auto install) and new map europe west 860.3101 and it still just gets stuck on boot screen doesn't even go far enough to create the Bif file
