tom tom one v3 1 gb

Postby robbesma » Fri Jan 13, 2017 6:03 pm

I have allready updated several times all kind off tomtom's.
Now im running windows 10 on my laptop, and the fast activate doesnt work well.
When i run it as administrator, the screen pops up, and goes away.
Tried several navcores, and also different maps, and still the same problem.
Tried it on a different laptop also, windows 8, the same problem.
It was always a piece off cake, but im struggling with this one for more then 3 nights.
Hope someone has a solution, it drives me crazy.

Try turning your anti-virus off

Copy fast activate to the root of your tomtom and run it from there. Cheers

Hi. That sounds like a Windows Defender issue. I disabled Defender on my Win8 and Win10 laptops after similar problems and now have no such issues. I now use McAfee Total Protection and there are no problems with F/A.

I had exactly same problem this month also. Suspect its one of the bits in Windows 10 anniversary updates. I also disabled Defender as I have Avast protection and restarted the PC. You may get a false positive from your AV.
It wont work from anywhere other than in the root of device or from Desktop. Now works perfectly

Proberly an AV problem. When I start Fast Activate and have my AV working then Fast Activate stop and the exe will be removed. I use 360 Total Security.
Now I swich AV off and no problem at all.
Good luck

I'm having the same problem, but Fast Activate still won't work despite turning off my AV (Avast). Any ideas, please? Windows 10 in case it makes any difference? Thanks.

If your copy of FastActivate is too old, it won't run properly.

Try downloading it again from here
