Tom Tom Truck 937.5945

Postby loaded66 » Mon Nov 10, 2014 2:27 pm

I have two 520s , I have installed the new maps 937.5945 with Navcore 9.701 on one and my other 520 has Truck map 900.4612 with Navcore 8.398 , now if I put same route in of approx 150 miles the new maps and Navcore are adding 30 minutes on to the time I know this route will take , the older maps and Navcore are spot on with time .
Is there any particular reason for this ?

That's probebly the reason that TomTom developed the NC 9.702. Cause I've heard this problem more often.

Or try nc 9.702. I heard it's better than the 9.701. The only problem is that it doesn't support Live Service.

Welcome to Navitotal.

1.Are both units set for the exact same truck specs?
2. Do you have IQ Routes enabled?
3. Have you compared Route Information, Browse as text, and/or Browse as image, and or Browse map of route to see where the difference is?

Will give 9.702 a try when I get some time then , thanks for suggestion .

They both picked same route , both units settings are the same , I even tried to alter speed higher for the new Navcore and maps but it didnt make any difference ! Time was still too far out for it to be used as a aidfor me.

Tried the Navcore 9.702 and there is still a lag on the time of trip, a 193 mile trip from yard to customer on old maps and Navcore is 3 hrs 40 mins which is pretty much correct , new maps and Navcore is 4 hrs 10 mins . :013:
Strange , which is a shame as I would have liked the newer maps.

You haven't answered my post 5 question 3.
If you haven't already done so, just for grins, take both units on an actual trip, to see if the updated unit lag will catch up with old unit in route.
See what time of trip you get with a 9.702 & 900.4612 combo.

I have been using a tomtom go 500 (32mb) with navcore 9.701 and Truck Map 937 5945.
Not sure what happened but now I am getting the computer voice Kate using rotary for roundabout and freeway for motorway.

Any ideas how I revert back to English language ?

Thank you for your advice , perfect.

I have another problem with the same satnav.

When I have been using it inside planning routes , there has been no satellite signal which I know is normal.

When I turn it off and back on again , the lost gps signal message increases from what it was when I turned it off.

I believe that it is not actually turning itself off when I hold the ' off button ' but the display is blank making me think it is.

Holding the off button for a longer period makes no diference.

Also when turning the satnav back on , there is no drum roll.

Can you give me any advice with what maybe happening ?

Thanks Again
