Copy the file named system to the root of the 300 card. DO NOT DELETE OR REPLACE ANYTHING!! Disconnect & reboot.

are you sure to change the bootloader to 5.5128 in the tutorial it says it will brick the older tomtom go300 which i have
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?918-Tomtom-bootloaders-5.5xx-comparison

For older models like Go 300,500 ,ONE V1 or classic I strongly recommend not to use bootloaders higher than 5.5022 - if you "brick" your GPS you can only hope to get it back to live with a higher bootloader that supports your system.
5.5128 can brick your old first model ONE,300 and 500 models!
Update only if you really have to!!

can you please send 5.5022 which works well with the go 300 model which i have
thanks

What do you mean "name to it"????
It is called "system" the way it is packed in the archive.
The instructions have been pretty clear!?

This was true 3.5 years ago, when http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?918-Tomtom-bootloaders-5.5xx-comparison was posted, but it is no longer true!!

We are on page 5 of the thread now, I think I really is time for you to do some reading yourself.
You expect to be spoon fed here and still claim to have problems following the instructions.
5 pages are more than enough to solve multiple issues, so I'm out here now.

Can't find the emu for ALG if someone can please point me in the right direction
Link to the thread and I will read it
