Put TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} on the 300 card. Run it & post the results here.

Every device creates a new ttgo.bif file everytime it is booted up. Put a navcore & a map on the 300 card. Put the 300 card in the 300 device. Attempt to boot the 300. Of course it won't boot, but it should create a 300 ttgo.bif file.

Did YOU actually create the file or did the 300 create it, when you tried to boot it?

It was created by the 300 when I connected to the PC and ran the tt home, with a blank sd card .Then I put the map which your did in the root of sd card
activation exe file with met data on the sd card
RRyde er 9.15 navcore ran it from the PC selecting the 32mb file and giving the sd card the path so it extracted the files onto the sd card which is in the card reader.
Then did the activation exe and step 2and then 3 wait for it to finish
Then put the card in go 300 still says no map
What step I'm doing wrong here
Thanks

TTSystem 5794926 bytes
Taken from the file after tt go created files on the sd card

Is this right ram for a go 300
Shouldn't it be 32 mb?

I think you neither understand the terms fully, nor how to update and patch a Navcore (if necessary).
Please check the tutorials and our instructions and you won't have problems!
And stop using Home for testing, Home is good for updates and map share and not much more.
All tests are to be performed on the device itself!

Your bootloader 4.8600 is too old. Unzip the attachment. Replace the file named system on your 300 card with the file named system in the attachment. This will update the bootloader to 5.5128. Disconnect & reboot.
