TomTom XL 330S upgrade NavCore

Postby spjeff69 » Wed Mar 02, 2011 2:44 pm

Hello everyone!

I just purcahsed a TomTom XL 330S and updated it last night using TomTom home. Currently, I haev Navcore 8.010 with Boot 5.5011 and map version 865.3262. I believe my device has 32MB RAM and it does not have an SD slot. I believe the total memory is 1 GB.

Can I upgrade my navcore to version 9? If I can, which version should I get?

Thanks so much for any help you can provide!

Down load and install SE_Navcore.9.205.547817_32mb_devices.rar (Widescreen ONLY) here it is good for your unit http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation

That worked! I don't see the Show Lane Images option anymore though. And, it's making me change to night/day colors manually?

That appears to have fixed the lane images. I'll have to test that feature. But it is 9:45 PM here and my TT is using the day map colors... Any suggestions?

Thanks!

1. Confirm the time on your 330S is set correctly & not 12 hours out of phase.
2. Main Menu, Change preferences, Brightness preferences, put a check by "Switch to night colors when dark".

Tendriver, thanks for your help! Suggestion 2 fixed the problem.

This morning on the interstate, the lane guidance/assist did not appear. The option is checked in advanced preferences. What gives?

The maps with ALG don't have 100% coverage. Give me an example of where it did no appear. I plug it in my unit & check it.

I just reviewed all of your posts. If you still have 865.3262 as stated in post 1, then I hate to tell you, but it does not have ALG.

Tendriver,

So I need to get another version of maps? I wonder why this version doesn't have it...

No you need to get another TomTom. There isn't any version of North America or United States with ALG, etc, that will fit on a 1GB device.
