I'm looking to buy this Tomtom Go 500 http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/car-sound/gps/tomtom-go-500-5-gps-unit/689285 so I can use in Australia and when on my US trip in July. Can someone tell me if this model is moddable? That is I wish to manually put in map updates, speed camera updates and voices.

If it is moddable, how does it work with the lifetime traffic and maps on the device?

P.S I'm upgrading from the XL250 which I was able to previously update the maps and speedcam manually, just not sure if this new model can do the same.

Any help would be appreciated.

No, it can not be modded. If you decide to continue looking for a device, that can be modded, keep in mind, that any model, which connects to the internet with My Drive Connect software, can not be modded. Models, that connect with TomTom Home software, can be modded.
