tomtom go 500

hi i have just been given a tomtom go 500 but need a map update, been looking on the internet and am toatally confused!
any help or direction on how to do this would be great!

How about you start with reading the tutorials and when done check the Navcore section and 910 map thread.

Not that it would be so hard to find all relevant info in the forum.
