tomtom go 520 sound

is it possible to have start up and shut down sound on go 520 says not availible for my device on tomtom home?

Yes, But we need to know details from your TomTom.
Open the "ttgo.bif" file in the root with notepad delete the line "DeviceUniqueID xxxxx xxxxx"
Post it back on here, this will give all the info needed to give you a correct answer.

Yes. The start up sound should be named splash.ogg. The shutdown sound should be named suspend.ogg Both files go where the navcore is loaded, either the 520's root or SD card

I had same problem once I updated my 730 to NC9.430, Tendriver sent me the fix to another fault which cured this also, see: http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?10132-Change-skin-amp-ASR

tried that it works but changes all the look of the screens to older version can this be done without doing that?also when u get phone call no sound after?

Did you use both of the files, because the "model.txt" sets the icons to the latest 50 style.
If you mean that when the phone rings, your tomtom doesn't give a ringtone, ad your own "ogg" file to the root and name it "ringtone" this should work.

wanted to keep to normal style also tryed ttsystem on its own and x50 on own

You can use the SE ttsystem file without the model.txt file, but you can't use the model.txt without the SE ttsystem file.

is there SE ttsystem that will make all voice commands work but wont change the look it has on original ttsystem?

You get Voice Commands with X40 or X50 emu only. X40 & X50 have the new icons, so it's ALL or NOTHING.
